KING CANNIBAL SPAMS…

Promo-ing now is the new Qemists single ‘ Dem Na Like Me’ featuring vocals from Wiley. Included on the Cd and forthcoming 12″ is a remix from myself. I’m certainly very proud of this track as its one of those rare occasions where i sat down with a concept and managed to follow it through to the end. I’m pinning both my Neptunes and Optical influences to my sleeve with a giant safety pin for this one. I’m happy to report its being very well received too, with Marry Anne Hobbs calling it her single of the season. The release date is a few weeks after my 30th birthday, on the 19th of January. Full press release and detail below.

SORRY!

King Cannibal explains…

Just a quick note to anyone who is sitting waiting for replies to emails, i’ve been having some internet issues at Cannibal Castle preventing me from spending more the 5 minutes online at a time… which also explain both my lack of updates and not updating the MIXES page with new download links. Hopefully everything will be back to normal next week.

AB

Spykidelic Says…

The Aurora Borealis record label is one of the few truly independent British record labels we have left. Their webstore is an essential resource for anyone interested in Horror-Electronics, Artsy-Fartsy-Metal and Freakish-Folk. AB has only been around since 2004 but many of the label’s early releases, from the likes of Ginnungagap (Stephen O’Malley of Sunn O))), Moss and Wolfmangler are already collectors items, fetching silly bucks on eBay. Recently AB’s website added an audio player enabling you to listen to a large selection of the labels back-catalogue as well as current and future releases. The label was also to blame for releasing my doom-folk collaborative project Knives ov Resistance in 2007.

I was invited to this blog to write about anything good I might see, hear or hear about. I expect the idea of this was that I’d post mixes, reviews or details about social events organised in fashionable drinking establishments.

Well I’ve been carving vegetables. Again.
